Things You Didn't Know your iPhone Could Do-IOS 14+
As a reminder, class is being held at the Sandburg Education Center, 1902 Second Ave in Anoka. Enter door 1 and follow signs to the classroom. Door 1 is located on Monroe St. Three-hour free parking in the ramp to the side of the building by door 1.
Many people use their iPhones to make calls, send text messages and take a few photos. However, our Apple iPhones are amazing devices. They offer many useful features that are largely hidden from everyday users. This is will focus on new features added since the release of IOS 14 in September 2020.
This class will teach you the following topics:
- Modifying your iPhone and iPad Home Screen. Using Jiggle Mode.
- Placing Widgets and Stacked Smart Widgets on the Home Screen (My favorite IOS 14
- feature)
- The iPhone App Library
- Privacy Changes
- New compact screens for phone calls and Siri 6. Using the Translate app
- Exploring the Magnifier
- New Texting Functions using the Messages app.
Bring to Class: This class is for students with Apple iPhones. Bring your fully charged iPhone to class.

Eligible UCare members may get up to a $15 discount on many community education classes in Minnesota. After 35 years working as a computer trainer, developer and manager, he focused his attention on the technology skills of older adults and founded the Senior Tech Club. Since that time, he has trained hundreds of older adults on both iPhone and Android devices and has published hundreds of lessons, course and tip guides at the SeniorTechClub.com site.
Don started his professional career as a school band director, discovered personal computers in the early 80’s, and never looked back. He traveled the country teaching IT professionals, started two companies and led corporate IT data teams . He has a BS from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of St Thomas. He lives in St Anthony, MN.
