Learn to Knit-Beginning

Learn basic techniques - cast on, knit, purl, increase, decrease, finishing and pattern reading - while making a tote bag to be felted. Not meeting October 20.

Learn to knit supply list Bring supplies below the first week if you have them
  • Size eight knitting needles
  • Yarn for practice (1 skein of Red Heart "4" in a light color
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stitch markers

Connie has been teaching crochet and knitting classes for about ten years. She says, “I had mentioned teaching community education to a good friend and she kept at me until I called and set myself up to teach.”

A versatile crafter, Connie has taught embroidery, Hardinger, punch needle and specialty knitting and crochet classes. “I love seeing people learn a new hobby,” Connie says, “and I enjoy their excitement of finishing their first project.”
