Get Cozy With Your Sewing Machine
If you know how to operate your sewing machine, but aren't quite ready to tackle a sewing project on your own-then this class is for you. Learn how to cut out a pattern and piece together a reversible bowl “cozy” that keeps your food warm and hands safe. You can even use it in the microwave! Supply fee of $5 cash paid to instructor at class.
Bring to class:
- $5 supply fee paid to instructor at class.
- Sewing machine
- Fabric – Two, 100% cotton, Fat Quarters (same or contrasting colors/patterns)
- 100% cotton thread
- Scissors or rotary cutter and mat
- Sharp pencil or fabric marking pen
- Ruler
- Pins or fabric weights
- Seam ripper

Sandra S.Bengtson, owner of Avant Garb Fashions, was fortunate to learn how to sew by her mother at age eight. Decades later, Sandra’s passion for sewing has paved the way to fulfilling a lifelong dream; teaching others. As her mother did for her, Sandra is committed to spread her love of sewing. Sandra believes that providing a warm, inclusive classroom environment with fun and laughter, maximizes the learning experience and may even foster new friendships.
