Come and learn how to sew an oven mitt. Complete step-by-step instructions provided. Take home one mitt, pattern and instructions to make more for gifts. No quilted material, we will quilt it in class. Basic sewing experience required.
Bring to class:
- 1 pc - 14”X 21” material for top of mitt
- 1 pc - 14”X21” material for inside of mitt
- 4 pcs - 14”X21” 100% cotton batting
- 2 pcs - 14”X21” Insul-bright heat resistant batting
- Straight pins
- Scissors
- 12” ruler - wood or plastic
- Fabric marker
- Thread to match your material
- Seam ripper

Peggy Decker has been teaching community education classes for more than 15 years. She has taught a variety of culinary and creative classes including the every popular Holiday Treats class where participants make dozens of holiday treats and take home all the baked goods to enjoy. When Peggy learns a new skill she likes to pass it on. It brings her great joy to see participants get excited when they complete a project and learn a new skill.
