Appraise Your Antiques - DATE AND LOCATION CHANGE
Please note: There has been a date and location change from what is listed in the Adult Class Catalog. Class will now meet at the Staff Development Ctr, 2727 N Ferry St in Anoka on Tues., May 2 and Mon., May 8. Class time remains the same (6-8:30 p.m.).
Learn the basics of identifying and appraising art, antiques, jewelry, coins, and collectibles. Get tips on what makes things valuable and the best ways to sell them. Examine things like lithophane, trench art, U.S. Zone china, a U.S. 3 cent nickel, precious gemstones, mourning jewelry & German silver. No pictures or books in this class, everything is “hands on”. Bring one item, no larger than a shoe box to the first class, research its value on your own with the research tools you've been given, then compare your results with the appraiser's at the second class. Bring a magnifying glass. Instructor David Schlueter is a Certified Appraiser.
