Elem - Anime Club
Ever wanted to draw anime and manga but not sure how to get started? Or perhaps you’re a pro at drawing, but you’re looking for some like minded friends to draw with? Look no further! In Anime club we got you covered. Come join in the otaku fun as we learn how to draw characters, animals, cool swords, radical city scapes and more. An artist will lead us in drawing practices at the start of each meeting then we will have a chance to work on anime art of our own using artist pencils, Mangaka pens, and alcohol ink markers. Every week we will have plenty of time to talk about our favorite shows and comics and nerd out with our fellow club members. All children must be preregistered and accompanied by an adult for this Informational Session. -
Elem - Brookside Storm Choir
Does your child love to sing? We are excited to announce that the Brookside Storm Choir is looking for enthusiastic singers to join us! As a choir member your son or daughter will learn how to make beautiful music with their voice; as well as learn breathing techniques, how to read choral music and make lasting friendships. Our musical journey will culminate in an evening concert, where family and friends are invited to join us as we share the beautiful music we have learned. On the last day of class, students will stay after school to practice, enjoy a pizza dinner and stay through our evening performance. Class registration includes a t-shirt that students will wear for the concert. Due to the limited spots available, we ask you to only sign your child up if they are available to perform in the concert. -

Back-to-school season is bursting with creativity at YR! During this session, students will explore afascinating world of characters, patterns, texture and vibrant color. Appetites don’t stand a chanceagainst the realistic pizza drawing our students will create as they focus on proportion, detail, andshading techniques. Our adorable baby sloth will help students practice expression and characterdesign, while our art history portrait of Hiawatha introduces cultural appreciation and portraitcomposition just in time to celebrate the fall season. Elem - Lincoln Lions Orchestra and Band
New and returning students are welcome! Do you love music? Have you always wanted to play an instrument? In this class students will learn the fundamentals and basics of an instrument of their choice (see choices listed below) in a band or orchestra ensemble. Students will be grouped into two separate groups of strings and band instruments. The curriculum uses a combination of traditional teaching methods and modern songs to help encourage the students to practice and experience the fun of music. Students and parents will have access to the online student portal that helps them keep track of homework assignments and a fun practice log system with awards for minutes logged. The program culminates with a special evening performance for friends and family on Friday, March 19, 2027 at the Anoka Middle School Auditorium. On the concert date, students will stay after school and walk over to Anoka MIddle School for a final practice before our 5:15 pm concert. Students need to bring their instrument to every practice and the performance.Instrument choices for band: Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone.Instrument choices for Orchestra: Violin, Viola, Cello Instruments: Students who are currently enrolled in Lincoln Elementary School for the Arts will have the option to check out an instrument from Ms. Whitcomb. If this applies to your child, please indicate the 1st and 2nd choice for their instrument on the registration form. We have a limited number of instruments available so register and request to borrow an instrument early for best selection. Come and paint with us! This is the perfect opportunity for making friends, creating art, and having fun! All ages and levels of skill are welcome. There will be a selection including 3D wooden animals, craft boxes, picture frames, birdhouses, and wood hanging decorations. This session includes all materials needed, all you need to bring is yourself. Students will learn how to improve their painting skills in a fun and positive environment! -

Do you feel like you never get enough time to paint in art class? Then it’s time to sign up for Painter’s Club! In this fun, relaxed club we will work with an artist to deep dive into different painting mediums and techniques each week. We will use top notch paint, paper, and canvases to make wonderful creations of our own designs with helpful guidance from our artist teacher. We will work in watercolor, acrylic, oil pastel and more as we produce still lives, portraits, and landscape paintings.
