Key elements of passing, catching, rushing, and defense will be taught and practiced, and players will be grouped and challenged at an appropriate level in a fun, positive environment while learning values of ‘Respect, Hustle, & Pride’. Helmets are provided. Check in from 5-5:15, class begins at 5:30 p.m. It is the parent's responsibility to provide transportation to and from Bunker Hills Stable. -

Elem - Learn to Ride: One Day Horse Camp
Kids will learn what it's like to have a horse for a day! Campers get to ride in the indoor and/or outdoor arenas (40-50 minutes, no trails), practice how to steer, stop, turn, and walk on their own. They also might make horse treats, do a craft, and play games. And don't forget the time to meet and care for the horses, which is a big part of ownership! Campers are broken into smaller groups based on similar riding experience and age, which is perfect for both new and more experienced riders! Drop-off is at 9am and PARENT pickup is 3pm. Sorry we do not allow parents to stay for the day. All campers need to complete a waiver. (Waiver Link will be in your confirmation e-mail) Camp is held rain or shine, as there is an indoor barn and arena. WHAT DO CAMPERS NEED TO BRING? Long pants, closed toe shoes, appropriate clothes for weather inside and outside of barn. No flip flops. Sunscreen/hat/bug spray. Water bottle/drinks/snacks and a lunch. Treats for the horses if you want. Helmets are provided. All available dates are non school days for K-12 Anoka-Hennepin students. October 6 is a non-student day for grades K-5 ONLY.
