    Learn how to save a life with naloxone! After taking the Steve Rummler HOPE Network naloxone training, you’ll learn key info on opioids and current data on the opioid crisis, how to recognize signs of an opioid overdose, what naloxone is and how it works to reverse an opioid overdose, the action steps when responding to an overdose and how to administer naloxone, protections provided by Steve’s Law, and where and how to get naloxone. Each participant will go home with a free IM Naloxone Kit. Eligible UCare members may receive an allowance to spend toward community education classes. Members must have UCare insurance at the time of registration. Limits and restrictions may apply. Contact UCare for further information.

    Stop the Bleed - Bleeding Control Basics Course

    Traumatic injuries are often sudden and unexpected. They can occur due to falls, accidents, and intentional violence. Stop the Bleed is a program designed to empower bystanders to act quickly and save lives. During this class, you will learn three bleeding control techniques including direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application. No prior medical training required. This class is for those 18 and over. Although this is a free course, registration is required.
