    Let's learn how to draw anime and manga! In this fun, engaging class, students will learn the fundamentals of the Japanese artforms of anime and manga, including character design, sketching, inking, and coloring using markers. We will explore different anime styles, dream up our own original stories with unique characters and settings, and even get a chance to create anime style trading cards of your own designs. No matter what anime is your favorite, there's a place for you here. Come join your fellow artists and anime enthusiasts in this art class open to all ability levels.

There will be multiple types of bakery products like cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and snack cakes to build fantastic creations. You will brainstorm ideas and then apply a base coat of buttercream icing to your cupcake. You will enjoy learning how to use and make an array of edible decorations to create a variety of designs for your masterpiece! Who can make the most unique creation? At the end of the class there will be a competition judged by a secret celebrity judge for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Who will win?

    Do you love to read? This after school book club is for you! The book club will be reading "The Wild Robot" by Peter Brown with Mrs. Rowles. You will receive a book, plus be able to share in discussion with your peers. It is a great opportunity to share your love for the literary arts and meet new students who enjoy the same interest.

    Do you have a ‘Sweet Tooth’? In this edible art class, you will have an opportunity to use a variety of supplies to create your delicious works of art! Learn how to pour candy coating into festive molds. Have fun dipping, swirling, and sculpting tasty treats. You can even add colorful candy sprinkles for a final touch. You will enjoy making a wide array of festive candy to take home and share with your family or friends, or even give as a gift to someone special!

    Are you looking for a fun and creative activity? Learn how to paint ornate and decorative designs on a festive wooden ornament! Design your own unique and individual pattern or use the templates provided in class. You will use acrylic paints and detail paintbrushes to create a beautiful work of art. A liquid sealer will be applied to your completed artwork. You will choose a colorful ribbon to attach to your project, which will compliment your brushwork. Display your ornament at home, or give it as a gift to someone special in your life!
