Early Childhood Special Education PreschoolFamilies who are identified by the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) program and have received a letter with registration information are eligible to register for this preschool program. ECSE partners with Anoka-Hennepin Schools Preschool to offer early learning opportunities for children identified with special needs. The program is aligned with the Anoka-Hennepin Schools kindergarten curriculum. Licensed teachers monitor child progress and development throughout the year. All preschool classrooms are inclusive of children with a wide range of abilities. PreschoolWelcome to Anoka-Hennepin Schools Preschool! We offer preschool classes to support children with experiences, skills and knowledge for continual learning. Classrooms offer a supportive environment that include children of all abilities, and are led by a licensed teacher. Teaching teams include both general education and special education staff to meet the unique needs of each child. Classes are held from September to June at locations throughout the Anoka-Hennepin School District. There are morning and afternoon class times are available. Class length ranges from 2.75 to four hours. Families may only register for one class. Children in community preschool spots need to be toilet trained to attend preschool classes.
