MS - Boys Basketball Gr 6AthleticsIn this competitive basketball league, players will learn the skills and strategies of basketball with an emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Based on registration numbers, A and B level teams will be formed based on each player’s skill level. Teams practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Due to enrollment numbers and transportation scheduling, there may be times when parents/guardians will be asked to transport their students. Games will be on Thursdays: March 4, 11 and 18 and Wednesday, March 24 starting 4:00pm. NOTE: Parents/guardians will need to pick-up their student after competitions. MS - Dance TeamAthleticsIn this competitive dance team league, dancers will learn the skills of dance with an emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Based on registration numbers, A and B level teams will be formed based on each dancer’s skill level. Dancers practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Due to enrollment numbers and transportation scheduling, there may be times when parents/guardians will be asked to transport their students. Competitions will be on Wednesdays: March 4, 11 and 18 starting at 4:15pm. NOTE: Parents/guardians will need to pick-up their student after competitions. There will be no return buses to home schools. District Dance Competition will be on Wednesday, March 25 at Anoka High School at 7:00pm. MS - Girls Basketball Gr 7/8: CE Cubed 3X3AthleticsIn this competitive three on three basketball league, players will learn the skills and strategies of basketball with an emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Based on registration numbers, 4-5 player teams will be formed based on each player’s skill level, developing multiple, competitively even-level teams to compete on a half court setting. Rosters may be fluid so that coaches can adjust them weekly. However, a player may only play for one team per game day. Teams practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Due to enrollment numbers and transportation scheduling, there may be times when parents/guardians will be asked to transport their students. Games will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays: January 26, 28, February 2, 4, 9 and 11, starting 4:00pm. NOTE: Parents/guardians will need to pick-up their student after competitions. MS - Performance CheerAthleticsPerformance cheer is an athletic event that involves cheering, stunting, tumbling and dancing. The performance cheer squad will participate in an Anoka-Hennepin Schools middle school show at the completion of the season. Student athletes will need black shorts, mostly white tennis shoes and to come to each practice with athletic attire. The district cheer show is Thursday, February 21 at Coon Rapids Middle School at 6:30pm. Parents/Guardians are responsible for transporting students to the district cheer show.Youth - Winter 2027 -
MS - Ping PongAthleticsIn this ping pong league, players will learn the skills and strategies of ping pong with an emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Players practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Due to enrollment numbers and transportation scheduling, there may be times when parents/guardians will be asked to transport their students. Competitions on Tuesdays: January 26 and February 2 and Thursdays: January 28 and February 4 starting at 4:00pm. NOTE: Parents/guardians will need to pick-up their student after competitions. There will be no return buses to home schools. Ping Pong Tournament Thursday, February 11 at Roosevelt Middle School starting at 6:00pm.
