Join Author Allison Blevins to learn about ekphrasis, the use of detailed descriptions of visual art as a literary device. In this workshop, you will read and discuss both traditional and modern examples of ekphrastic writing. Attendees will have the opportunity to practice several types of ekphrastic writing and will leave the workshop with concrete examples of how to utilize ekphrasis to generate work.
