AT/Rec - Anoka Fall T-Ball Leagues
Fall 2026 ANOKA T-BALL LEAGUES Play Ball! Join us this fall for some t-ball league in Anoka. A Sunday evening league are being offered. T-Ball develops the primary baseball skills of hitting, running, fielding and throwing. Young players will gain an understanding of the fundamental rules of baseball. The main focus of the Anoka t-ball program is to provide age appropriate skill development, social interaction, parent involvement, and non-competitive contests. WHO: Ages 4-5-6 year olds WHEN: Sunday Evenings September 13 – October 11, 2026 Practices the 1st two weeks, games the last three weeks WHERE: Wilson School (3 fields) Sorensen Park (1 field) Lincoln School (1 field) Note pick your practice site, games could be at all sites. TIMES: Sunday Practice: (45 minutes) - 5:00 - 5:45 p.m. or 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. - Note if more than 1 team at a field they will rotate between times. Sunday Games: 1 hour - 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. (Note – a schedule will be handed out at first practice, if more than 1 team at a field they will rotate between times on practice days) COST: $59 (includes a t-shirt, hat, and participation award, Trusted Coaches screening) Volunteer Coaches Needed – Volunteer coaches are needed to lead these teams. If you are looking for a rewarding experience please consider becoming a t-ball coach. All Coaches will be subjected to a background check through the Trusted Coaches Program. Coaches will receive a t-shirt. If we don’t get enough volunteer coaches the program will be cancelled. Registration deadline is Friday, August 28th -
AT/Rec - Learn the Sport of BMX Bike Racing - Fall
Intro to BMX Racing – Rum River BMX Experience BMX at Rum River BMX, the #1 BMX track in the United States! This introductory clinic is designed for first-time riders of all ages who have never held a USA BMX membership and want to explore BMX racing. Our expert coaches teach the fundamentals of BMX, bike handling, track safety, and riding techniques in a safe, supportive, small-group environment. BMX race bikes and full-face helmets are provided. • Riders of all ages are welcome but must already be able to ride a pedal bike independently (no training wheels or assistance). • Riders must wear long sleeves, full-length pants, and closed-toe, closed-heel shoes. Extra jerseys are available to borrow if needed. • Check-in is 5:30-5:55 p.m. to complete required waivers and be fitted for a bike and helmet. Families may request electronic forms in advance by emailing rissa@rumriverbmx.com. • Clinic runs 6:00-7:45 p.m. • This is a one-time introductory clinic for new riders only. AT/Rec - Middle & High School Summer Gymnastics Camps AT Jam Hops - 2026
2026 SUMMER MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASTICS CAMPS AT JAM HOPS Join us for girls gymnastics classes at Jam Hops Gymnastics! Practices will be coached by Becki Tate and led by Blaine captains Jada Bahnson and Abby Bloomquist and Andover captain Peyton Kozarek. Gymnasts may come from any school or district but must be in middle school or high school. Girls will work on vault, bars, beam, and floor, with specific explanations regarding Minnesota high school gymnastics event requirements and skill levels. These practices are a great opportunity for current gymnasts, athletes interested in gymnastics, or club gymnasts who want to learn more about high school gymnastics requirements or are already on a team. To participate, gymnasts should be able to: Kick up to a handstand against a wall Do a round-off Hold a bridge Participants must register through Community Ed and complete the Jam Hops waiver before attending. WHO: Middle and High School Students in Grade 7-12 in 2026-27 and will be joining or want to join the High School Gymnastics Team (Open to all middle and high school athletes from any school) WHEN: July 6, 9, 13, & 16, 2026 August 24,, 27, 31 & Sept 3, 2026 TIME: 7:00 to 9:00 pm - Please arrive at 6:50 pm for introductions outside the main gym. NFL YOUTH FLAG FOOTBALL – EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE 2026 Fall Leagues - Roosevelt MS in Blaine Regular Leagues for Grades K – 8th (ages 6 to 14).Presented by: YMCA North and Anoka-Hennepin Community Ed AthleticsNFL FLAG FOOTBALL is coming to Anoka-Hennepin Community Education! Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country! This 6 week season held on Sundays is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-11 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. Games will take place between 9:00am - 7:00pm on Sundays (subject to change). Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Younger divisions typically play earlier in the day while the older divisions typically play later. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Participants will receive an NFL reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep! There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coaches meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season! Elem - Anime Club
Ever wanted to draw anime and manga but not sure how to get started? Or perhaps you’re a pro at drawing, but you’re looking for some like minded friends to draw with? Look no further! In Anime club we got you covered. Come join in the otaku fun as we learn how to draw characters, animals, cool swords, radical city scapes and more. An artist will lead us in drawing practices at the start of each meeting then we will have a chance to work on anime art of our own using artist pencils, Mangaka pens, and alcohol ink markers. Every week we will have plenty of time to talk about our favorite shows and comics and nerd out with our fellow club members. Elem - Brookside Storm Choir
Does your child love to sing? We are excited to announce that the Brookside Storm Choir is looking for enthusiastic singers to join us! As a choir member your son or daughter will learn how to make beautiful music with their voice; as well as learn breathing techniques, how to read choral music and make lasting friendships. Our musical journey will culminate in an evening concert, where family and friends are invited to join us as we share the beautiful music we have learned. On the last day of class, students will stay after school to practice, enjoy a pizza dinner and stay through our evening performance. Class registration includes a t-shirt that students will wear for the concert. Due to the limited spots available, we ask you to only sign your child up if they are available to perform in the concert. -
