AT/Rec - Nitro X Summer Camp - Learn, Test, Driver
2026 NitroX Camp - Learn, Test, Drive A Summer Camp for Middle School Students During this camp, students will work on remote controlled cars, gain exposure to transportation careers while touring local businesses and become aware of employment skills. Campers will discover new technical skills, and have fun making new friends while working in teams. Camp culminates with an exciting race day on ThursdayThrough hands-on learning participants will:- Tune and race remote-controlled electric cars- Modify & tune suspension systems, tires and wheels- Disassemble and reassemble engines- Paint and customize remote-controlled cars bodies- Tour local automotive repair facilities- Showcase new knowledge and excitement on race dayWHO: Students who will be 7th and 8th grades in fall of 2026WHEN: Monday through Thursday - June 8, 9, 10, and 11, 2026WHERE: Anoka Technical CollegeTIME: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm (lunch provided)FEE: $185/participant (includes lunch, shirts, and transportation to field trips). MS - Babysitter Training
Parents are looking for certified babysitters! Get a leg up on the competition with this American Red Cross class that prepares you for a wide variety of babysitting situations. Through hands-on activities, you’ll learn about the basic care of young children including safety and responsibility, age-appropriate activities and first aid. Boys and girls at least 11 years of age are welcome to participate. Class includes a comprehensive babysitting manual. Must complete the entire class to receive certification. -
MS - Bakery Wars
Do you like competitions? Team-up with friends, or make new friends in class, and let the fun begin! There will be multiple types of bakery products like cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and snack cakes to build fantastic creations. You will brainstorm ideas and then apply a base coat of buttercream icing to your cupcake. You will enjoy learning how to use and make an array of edible decorations to create a variety of designs for your masterpiece! Who can make the most unique creation? At the end of the class there will be a competition judged by a secret celebrity judge for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Who will win? -
MS - Boys Basketball Gr 7/8
In this competitive basketball league, players will learn the skills and strategies of basketball with an emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Based on registration numbers, A and B level teams will be formed based on each player’s skill level. Teams practice after school and compete against other Anoka-Hennepin middle schools. Due to enrollment numbers and transportation scheduling, there may be times when parents/guardians will be asked to transport their students. Games will be on Wednesdays: December 17, January 14, 28, February 4, 11 starting 4:00pm. NOTE: Parents/guardians will need to pick-up their student after competitions. There will be no return buses to home schools. -
MS - Cooking 303
In this 3-week class students will be introduced to basic cooking skills, practice kitchen safety and learn food safety. A new twist on an old favorite, Cool food for warmer weather, a look into Great Grandmas's cookbook. Each class will cook, enjoy and clean up so they can help with the families' menu planning and meal preparation. Some food items may be repeated. -
MS - Drawing Club
Bring your imagination to life in this drawing club. Students will explore different animation styles while they dream up their own characters and stories. We will experiment with different drawing mediums such as pencils, pens and crayons. We will shape classes based on your interests and ideas. -
MS - Falcon Fishing Club
This beginner fishing class is a comprehensive, hands-on workshop designed to transform novices into confident anglers. The program focuses on building a solid foundation in equipment, technique, and conservation. We'll cover rods and reels, tackle, casting and fish identification and the importance of ethical angling. This course will conclude with an at-the-water fishing session at Coon Rapids Regional Dam from 4:30-7pm (parents/guardians are responsible for transportation and may accompany their student for this excursion). -

MS - Howling with the Wolves
Join us at the Wildlife Science Center, 22830 Sunrise Rd NE, Stacy, MN 55079, the areas premier wildlife facility, to learn about some of Minnesota's most fascinating animals. Resident wolves, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, lynx and raptors will be the focus of this informative program. Interested in remote control (RC) cars and trucks? Want to try racing them on a track? Then come join us for some fun as we explore what makes RC cars and trucks work and then try them out. You will test out your driving skills and gain a better understanding of how RC cars and trucks operate. Presented by Party Crashers. -
MS - Spring Fling Tumbling
Come one come all to our spring fling tumbling class hosted by the CRHS Girls Gymnastics team. We will be teaching basic tumbling skills such as: rolls, cartwheels, roundoffs, walkovers and handsprings! We will also be learning basic leaps and jumps and the stretching and conditioning related to the sport of tumbling and gymnastics. No experience required! Come and have some fun working out to upbeat music and trying something new!
