You will learn safe, developmental gymnastics with a focus on strength and technique. Instructors will work to get to know each gymnast and help them move forward with their strength and skills! This class requires independent participation. One adult per child must remain in the viewing area. Each class will be planned by the Anoka High School Head Gymnastics Coach, Amy Hedberg. HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASTICS – 2026 FALL OFF SEASON TRAINING CLASSES This class is for current high school team members; or girls who will be joining a high school team for the 2026-27 season. We will work to maintain current skills, train basics, increase our fitness level and work upgrades for next season’s routines. Join the largest youth flag football organization in the country! This 6 week season held on Sundays is a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. We try to limit teams to 10-11 players to maximize playing time. This is an exceptional program for first time players who want to learn the fundamentals of football. This is also a wonderful opportunity for players who want to continue enhancing their skills before taking the next leap into tackle football. Games will take place between 9:00am - 7:00pm on Sundays (subject to change). Exact schedules will be created and posted 1-2 weeks prior to the season start date. Younger divisions typically play earlier in the day while the older divisions typically play later. Practices take place one hour prior to game time each week to ensure a convenient and fun experience for all! Participants will receive an NFL reversible jersey and flag belt, theirs to keep! There are no try-outs! Everyone participates! Our program relies on volunteer parents to coach our teams! We encourage all parents interested in volunteering to do so during the registration process. We will provide several resources along with a comprehensive coaches meeting to ensure all coaches have a fun and successful season! 2026 Fall Tornado Tumblers Gymnastics Ages 5-6 school age This class is for students who are 5 years old by the first day of class, up to age 6. We recommend that your 5 year old is in kindergarten in this class, but do allow you to register your preschool age 5 year old if you feel they will be comfortable with kids as old as age 6. At Tornado Tumblers our goal is to offer an affordable introduction to gymnastics through an age based community ed program. We provide a warm up and two skills circuits each class focusing on strength, flexibility, coordination and gymnastics terms and skills on all 4 events. This class is lesson planned by Anoka Head coach Amy Hedberg and coached by our dedicated team of coaches. We encourage families to utilize the wait list if the class you desire is currently full. Sometimes we can make adjustments, notify you of other openings and plan better for the future by seeing the needs of the community. We do operate full classes with limited space in our gym; please register thoughtfully and bring only 1 spectator per student to class. Purchase an optional Anoka Gymnastics practice leotard here. There is also a maroon and white Tornados logo leotard, offered for $50. Registration here will close at 11:59pm on Friday September 25th.
